The Carolinas Conference took place in a new location this year - Wilmington, NC! It kicked off Wednesday night with a terrific ride on the Cape Fear river. This day-and-a-half long conference's sessions included some of our returning regulators as well as a roundtable, multiple case studies, and of course educational technical sessions. Thursday night's social event included a delicious barbecue dinner and a magic show! This event could not have been successful without our 11 fantastic exhibitors and 10 generous sponsors. This Carolinas EIA Conference also raised over $200 for the EIA Foundation with the raffle for a registration to the EIA National Conference & Exhibition. We hope to see you back in Wilmington next year!

Our newest chapter, the SoCal EIA Chapter's second event was a success! Held at AleSmith Brewing in San Diego, this event featured a toxic waste panel with John Minutoli, ECTI; Matthew Allison, San Diego County Air Pollution Control District; Nicholas McCormick, San Diego County Air Pollution Control District; and Gio Fanelli, Acadisafe. Held the night before the EIA Fall Technical and just around the corner from the Hyatt Regency Phoenix, the Arizona Chapter welcomed many national EIA members for this social! Attendees enjoyed an evening of catching up with old friends, accompanied by delicious food and beverage at Huss Brewing.

The EIA Fall Technical Seminar held in Phoenix, AZ was a roaring success! This day-long event featured five sponsors - Eurofins Built Environment, Forensic Analytical Consulting Services, Lowe's Home Centers, PriorityLab, and Environmental Holdings Group, a division of the Alloy Group. With lunch sponsored by Eurofins and the reception sponsored by Terracon, the attendees were well-fed all day! The program featured a diverse range of subjects, including silica, lead, PFAS, mental health, lithium-ion batteries, and more. This event raised more than $3,000 for the EIA Foundation thanks to our generous board members, Stuart Hicks and Stephen Thompson, offering to match foundation donations raised that day. We will see you next year on October 2nd in Atlanta, GA!

This golf outing was the first of many for the re-invigorated Mid-Atlantic EIA Chapter! With a whopping 86 attendees and 22 sponsors, attendees enjoyed a sunny day of golf ending with lunch and multiple raffle drawings. Between the 10% of profits donated and the raffle tickets sold, this event raised over $2,200 for the EIA Foundation. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter looks forward to inviting you all to join them next year for another remarkable golf outing.

This annual free seminar is a staple of the Arizona EIA Chapter! This year, the seminar included presentations on asbestos, risks of archaeology-related projects, emergency management, and silica. The meals were generously sponsored by Adams & Wendt and Terracon, and attendees enjoyed a cost-free day full of good food, good company, and of course, great technical presentations.

The second conference as the Ohio Valley Chapter of the EIA grew about 30% since last year! This day-long conference featured varied presentations about hazardous materials, legionella, PFAS, Silica, asbestos, an outstanding case study, and updates from Ohio state regulators. 85 attendees, 9 exhibitors, and 6 generous sponsors made up this conference at the Ohioan Hotel & Event Center. You don't want to miss this conference next year!

The NorCal EIA Chapter returned to Scott's Jack London Square for a dinner presentation featuring Scott Helf and Mike Van Brunt about PCBs. Thanks to the Association of Environmental Contractors, Bayview Environmental, Eurofins Built Environment Testing, Ferma Corporation, Lowe's Home Services, and Parra Environmental Training for sponsoring this phenomenal event! 

The SoCal EIA Chapter hosted this social event at Brewery X in Anaheim. The attendees enjoyed pizza, beverages, socialization, and were able to donate toiletries and diapers to Casa Teresa, a home for pregnant women in crisis. Please join the SoCal Chapter for their next event on February 19!
